Or were we just all part of a grand, cosmic prank?

Dreadful Day Ever
It all started with a case of bedhead hair. I couldn't figure it to look presentable. As I was hurrying out the door, I stumbled and gracefully all over myself. To make matters worse, I was totally late for work.

By the time I got home, I was utterly defeated. This day, this horrific day will be forever remembered as the worst day ever.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to click here throw your hands up.
